LASH EXTENSIONS

FAQ's

How long do lash extension last?

It is totally in an individual process. Lash extensions will stay on your lashes for your remaining natural lash life. A normal lash shed cycle is 30-60 days. Most people shed natural lashes at a rate of 2-5 lashes a day, per eye. We also grow new lashes to replace the ones that have fallen out. Lash extensions can stay on up to 30 days with proper care and forever with fill maintenance within ⅔ weeks. However, proper aftercare will affect how long the lash extensions last.

Do lash extensions damage my natural lashes?

Lash extension only causes damage to your natural when they are applied incorrectly and lashes are not isolated correctly. If the stylist is not properly trained and qualified, Lash Extensions could possibly damage your lashes leaving you with “bald spots.” The lash extension process is meticulous. With experienced lash stylist, we can guarantee proper application and no harm done.

Can I wear mascara with eyelash extensions?

Lash extensions naturally darken your lashes, your lashes will look dark and mascara is not necessary. Rubbing directly on the lashes or using mascara remover will weaken the bonding. This may also twist the extensions and make them fall out. We strongly recommend that you avoid wearing mascara. If you feel as though mascara is necessary, we have products made especially for lash extensions.

Are your stylist experienced?

Each of stylists are California state licensed cosmetologist or esthetician, with over 3 years of lashing experience.

How do I know what kind of look I am going for?

Your lash stylist will educate you on what lash lengths and thicknesses that are best for you according to the look you are trying to achieve, your eye shape and your natural lashes.

Now that I have Lash Extensions how do I take care of them?

The first 24 hours after your application are most crucial. Care must be taken so please do not rub your eyes, pull your lashes, or scratch. Also, any creams, eye makeup removers, lotions, or cleansers containing oils can loosen the bond of the lash extensions. You should avoid direct contact of water spray on your extensions, do not allow use a steam bath, swim, or wash your face directly with hot water during your initial 24 hours of the application.

Classic Lashes

Classic lash extensions are the art of placing one lash extension onto one natural eyelash. Classic lashes are only meant to provide length and shape, not fullness or added fluff. Most people wear classic lashes because they want to achieve a natural lash look that is often be mistaken for having AH-MAZING natural eyelashes. If clients want to achieve a “no-extensions-extensions-look” then classics are the style for them! Many people start out with classic lashes if they have never had extensions before. Classics are a great introductory service because it is generally the lowest price point while you get into the routine of the added after-care that come with making the investment in extensions. Its best to start with because its better to be able to go fuller then start too full and its too much. TAKES ABOUT 1.5-2HRS FULL SET

Hybrid Lashes

Hybrid lash extensions are exactly how they sound. A mix (or hybrid) of two styles. More specifically, hybrid lash extensions are a blend of classic lashes and volume lashes. This style is perfect for people who want a more full look than classics, but aren’t completely sold on the bold and dark look of volume lash extensions. In my opinion, there is no perfect ratio of hybrid lashes. We always consult with client to confirm where they would like the most volume placed on their eyes. For example, more volume fans in the middle will create an eye-opening look. Whereas more volume fans in the outer corner will create an eye-elongating look (think cat eye). Once all of the volume fans are placed evenly across the lash line, we then finish off by strategically placing different diameters of classic lashes throughout to finish the look. Volume Lashes

Va-va-volume! These babies will give you a thick, dark and fluffy lash look! A volume fan consists of 4-8 (or more based on your artist’s preference and your natural lash’s capacity) teenie-tiny eyelash extensions. If you see 3D, 4D, 6D, 8D, etc… the number stands for how many lash extensions are in the fan, and the D stands for how dimensional the volume fan is! Generally the diameter (how thick) the individual lash extensions are can range from 0.03 - 0.07 mm. This is waaaay thinner than one of your own natural lashes! Creating hand-made volume lash extensions is a craft and skill many lash artists train to perfect by taking courses that cost upwards of thousands of dollars. In this course your lash artist is trained how to decide how many lashes to create a fan with so that your natural lashes stay healthy, how to create a symmetrical fan so that it always looks fluffy and clean, and how to form a strong base so that your retention is impeccable until your next fill! Sounds like a lot of hard work and knowledge, right? That’s because it is! Still wondering why the price point for volume lashes are significantly higher than classics? Volume lash extensions use 4-8x more product than classic lashes, take sometimes 2-3 hours longer to create, and thousands of dollars in training to perfect. These babies are the PhD of lash extensions and should be treated as so! TAKES ABOUT 2.5-3 HR FULL SET
